DR SHANDEEP MOMI

Dr. Shandeep Momi was born in Canada, raised in the United States and went to medical school in Hungary. He completed GP training in the UK now practices in Dublin.

During his medical journey, he has learned different skills from outside of conventional medicine to help his patients have a better quality of life. It is this lateral thinking and problem solving skill that he brings to bear to help his patients achieve more with their life.

His family’s Hashimoto’s diagnosis turned his attention toward applying this integrative and functional medicine method to help them. This approach is based on optimising different body functions to support the thyroid gland and digging deep for the possible triggers of the disease, instead of just managing symptoms.

For the past decade, Dr. Shandeep Momi has been educating and coaching people with hypothyroidism and Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, following an evidence-based protocol that has helped thousands of people to achieve optimal thyroid health. He says there is nothing more enjoyable than seeing someone take control of their health and regain their sense of self and happiness. It’s the reason he became a doctor in the first place; to empower those to help themselves.

hELENA tUBRIDY

Helena Tubridy dove into general nursing and specialised in Gynaecology. Followed midwifery in the UK,  delivering babies babies in hospital, Domino and community settings. Home births and breech deliveries. She trained in hypnosis for labour pain, and many mums chose it over epidural!  She worked with Dr. Jack Gibson to specialise in hypnotherapy.

Secondary infertility happens when you have one or more children, and further pregnancy is elusive. Still so poorly understood and often taboo subjects. The realisation that parents can suffer PTSD in these devastating circumstances is very recent. Helen describes feeling honoured to use psychotherapy and EMDR to help for parents affected by loss and grief, and all that goes with it.

Helen describes her approach as rapid, direct, and integrative. Mindset and body both matter in conceiving babies. She assesses each clients lifestyle and wellbeing to find out what changes can be most effective in achieving healthy pregnancy. Next, supports them in applying techniques. This approach dovetails perfectly with IVF treatment, and restorative medical fertility care. One protocol does not fit all. Therefore Helena offers coaching and therapy as required, based on what your narrative is, and on your needs.

Helena’s aim is to reduce your anxiety and improve your  mindset quickly for conceiving – with a blend conversational hypnosis, mindfulness techniques and EMDR, along with lifestyle aspects of fertility including nutrition, sleep, libido and more.

Frances Sinclair

Frances Sinclair is responsible for Operations and Stakeholder Engagement at Donor Conception Network, a parent-led, child-focused charity that supports people considering donor conception, as well as parents (and increasingly, grandparents) with donor conceived children already.

The charity was founded 30 years ago by five families who – against clinical advice at the time – wanted to be open-up to their children about their origins and to help others looking for information and community. Through peer support, the charity aims to break the isolation many people feel when navigating their personal, often emotional, fertility journey. Frances and the rest of the DCN team, along with a group of dedicated volunteers, offer personal, tailored support and connection both in-person and online. The charity also publishes books and runs workshops and aims to be a much-needed voice for donor conception families more widely.

Frances is herself a solo mum through donation – her son is now 17. She became a Network member just a few years after it started and later became a volunteer ‘welcomer’. She joined the DCN team in her current role in 2019, which also encompasses the weekly newsletter, DCN’s magazine ‘Perspectives’ and responding to the helpline, so she brings a lot of personal and professional experience of the particular issues that can arise – whatever stage you’re at.

Dr Fiona Barry

Dr. Fiona Barry PhD is a distinguished practitioner of Chinese medicine with over 20 years of experience, specializing in fertility. Her passion for helping individuals and couples achieve their dreams of parenthood has led her to guide hundreds of clients on their unique fertility journeys, whether they are navigating the path to conception as a couple or choosing to go solo.

Fiona’s approach to fertility is deeply rooted in her robust academic background. Holding a degree in Biomedicine and PhD in Pharmacology, she has spent years in research, which forms the foundation of her integrated methodology that harmoniously blends the ancient wisdom of Eastern medicine with the empirical insights of Western science. This unique perspective allows her to address the complexities of fertility from multiple dimensions, including physical, mental, and emotional aspects.

In her practice, Fiona supports clients pursuing natural fertility as well as those undergoing assisted reproductive therapy. Many of the individuals who seek her expertise have faced challenges with previous attempts to conceive. Through careful assessment and personalized strategies, Fiona empowers her clients to identify and overcome these obstacles, facilitating a more hopeful and informed journey toward parenthood.

One area of particular interest for Fiona is the profound impact of trauma on fertility. Recognizing that past experiences—whether related to childhood, the loss of a child, or ongoing emotional distress—can significantly affect reproductive health, she employs innovative techniques such as Quantum Thinking Transformation. This talking modality helps clients explore and release the emotional weight of trauma, enabling them to move forward with renewed hope and clarity.

Dr. Fiona Barry’s holistic and compassionate approach has made her a trusted ally for many on their fertility journeys, and her dedication to merging scientific understanding with holistic healing continues to inspire those she works with.
